I really need to start growing my fresh herbs. They are so expensive at the store and I love to use them in my cooking.

I especially want to grow basil, thyme, Italian parsley and rosemary. What's the best way to grow them? Do they need to be outside in full sun or can they be grown indoors?

You don't say where you are but many of these can be grown inside or out. Rosemary can withstand mild winters. Using a large pot on wheels though you can have it on a deck or patio and in cold weather wheel it inside.

Check the different kinds of basil too! There's cinnamon, lemon, licorice, purple and several other kinds along with the common sweet basil. There's a difference (slightly) in the appearance and the flowers are different colors...for example the lemon basil has light yellow flowers and cinnamon basil has purple flowers. They do love the sun though.
