In our city, our paper profiles people who are hard up - they're real people but with their names changed.  The paper runs a Christmas fund every year and they publish stories of real life situations.  You'll be amazed at how many people could use some help.  Just when we feel sorry for ourselves, reading stories like these make you think twice about complaining.  We don't know it but if you really think about it, we're more blessed than we think!

Since my family is in the States, I would have to buy small gifts that won't weigh a ton when I take them to the post office.  I'm tempted however to send them cash via paypal.
