Our Goal
The goal is to create a mid-price range home which is uncommonly beautiful yet unusually durable and easy to maintain not only for pet-owning families but for the broad public as well. Each step of the project will be documented by posting new articles, blog entries, and announcements on this website. The entire project, from start to finish, will be interactive, entertaining, and educational.
Practical
Pet-occupied homes have special maintenance and durability needs and create a unique opportunity for pet-centric amenities, which when incorporated into the home’s design and construction will result in greater value for the home and improved quality of life for the occupants. But don’t take our word for it! We plan to prove it through actual testing.
- With the help of a pack of dogs, a tribe of cats, mud and toys, we will unleash an assault of playtime within the home and without, doing our best to create a mess and clean it.
- Step-by-step instructions showing how to add doggie doors, containment systems, flooring, set up aquariums, install a kitchen, roofing, and all other aspects of building this home will be documented and shared, along with how to decorate it.
We will tackle all possible scenarios that pet owners face: scratched flooring; stained furniture; ruined carpets; lawn, hair and dander issues; reducing allergy problems; storage solutions and more. All of this will be solved by building in or adding products and features that handle the wear and tear that come with pets.

It started with a dream and it grows with illustrations and ideas - big and small - which are shared here, online. As the project unfolds informative articles and daily blog posts are added so users can follow the evolution of the design and addition of details – everything from types of paint or flooring to pet care, bedding, treats, and names – whatever contributes to creating a high quality home life with pets.
The many benefits of involvement with the Project include awareness, direct interaction with the public, as well as improvement of organizational website search placement through links. These are all available to participating businesses or individuals and to humane societies and shelters for free.
